Dear Brother in Islam,

I very much liked the tips of your jogging parnter. Especially the first tip is very very important---for both the worlds. Yes of course --him waiting for Salah---is a virtue-that will take us all closer to our Almighty Creator and it is a matter of strengthening our reltionship with Him. As for me' I share the first tip of your friend in my life and I share your first point of Ayatalkursi--from your tips.

Yes regarding your service--and compassion for the poor lot in Africa--every person in his category and profession can duplicate your service in his own field and circle of effect. Thanks a lot. I intend to learn from the six invaluable tips and shall try to add mine soon.

For me, in my prayer I think that what will happen if I die next moment. Is there anything in my life to benefit for the success in trial.

Also I imagine my 'Qabr' infront of me and 'Maut' behind me.

And when I start 'Fatiha' I think why I thank God and His 'Rahm' upon me when I say Al-Rahmanu Al-Raheem.

Submitted by Tahir:

1. Submitting to Allah after offering Salah, humbling oneself, acknowledging our faults, and thinking about the Greatness, Highness, Power of Allah, and finally asking favors from Allah.

2. Offering the Sunnah and Witr salah at home after the Farz salah of Salat ul Isha in mosque.

3. Thinking about the hell fire as if the fire is in front of our eyes.

First thing I am doing is trying to show all my family what islam is ,coz some months ago I was'nt a muslim. l was Chatolic like all my family, but alhamdullilah not anymore, I'm proud to be a muslim and i pray to ALLAH that even my family will convert to islam,so i'm trying hard to tell them everything I learned.

Second thing i did ,I took a job as a health care, I help the elderly people, I get paid, but still I like this job coz im being of help to others that really needs help
third thing , I got this job and with the money i earn I'm helping a muslim brother to stay in university by sending him some money he is poor and he is so inteligent, so with my help he got back in university, I'm not trying to show off, by saying this, but that is what Iam doing and always praising ALLAH from giving me the strength to work, and I pray for war to end, I feel sad to hear about muslim sisters and brothers that everyday are being killed.

After each Salaat, say sincere thanks for all the blessings. In sajada-e-shukr, recite Shukrun-nillah 14 times, immediately after that one of the name from Asmaul-Husna, "Al-Wahhab"(The Giver of All Things), 14 times, Insha Allah this will give ypu peace, peity, health, contentment of your heart and increment in your blessings.

Submitted by a Muslimah: Something that has worked for me is really simple:

1) Pray every prayer on time everyday, if possible. Go to Friday prayers especially since most masjids have lectures on that day in the evening.

2) Recite short surahs wherever you are at school, on the computer, in the car, walking etc.

3) Help other Muslims strengthen their eeman and lead them to the straight path

Most important of all is friends, who are religious, can help you learn more about Islam and become a better person. Through all these actions you can feel really good and feel like life is going your way and even if life is not as you planned at least the hereafter could be.

Submitted by a Believer:

1) RECITE MASNUN DUAS DAILY ALONG WITH HIZBUL AZAM (creates peace and tranquillity/sakina; and rids one of depression etc)

2) RECITE daily 7,5,3,2,1,.......7-surah Fatiha , 5-ayatul Kursi, 3- surah Ikhlaas, 2- surah Falaq, 1-Surah Nas and blow over self and all around for protection insha Allah.

3) RECITE SOME CONSISTENT PORTION OF QURAN DAILY, recommended daily masnun surahs, remember death and the day of Resurrection,do stock-taking / evaluation of self and perform salatut Taubah and Tahajjud nightly Insha Allah.............try to remove all negative qualities from one's heart and mind (hate, hypocrisy,ill-feelings,envy, gossip and idle talk) that will lead to hellfire, and STRIVE one's utmost to acquire the qualities of the people of Paradise (purity ,sincerity, love compassion, taqwa) Insha Allah. Ameen.

I found that visiting the sick helps because it helps us to apreciate
what Allah has bestowed upon us.

I also find that it helps when I thank Allah for praying. I came to realise
that if I missed a prayer it was a punishment and every prayer I prayed was
a blessing.

I also think it helps my emaan to learn the seerah. Our example is the
prophet (saw) and it is only when we study his life we can better ourselves.

What I found worked for me since 1999:-
After being married for 22 years my Mom-In-Law(78) out of blues requested she would like to live move in) with us and by accepting her whole heartened, making the major adjustments in my life style to make her as comfortable as possible has changed our lives.

My Husband love me more that he ever did, there is barakat in everything I do. Mysteriously my Duas are answered by Allah. There is a lot of respect, peace understanding and tranquillity in my home. My children were told "on their return from work/school the first person they should go forward and greet is their Grand Ma with a kiss on her forehead".

Fellow readers please make Dua because we've made an intention to take Mom-In-Law for Hajj the coming year if Allah permits.

Submitted by Firoza: What has worked for me:

1) Supplication to the Almighty after every Namaaz.
2) Recitation of Suraah Yaseen & Tabaruk after Fajr Salaah

What we (individual) need to do is simple and consistent prayer and do'a from Allah.

It is difficult but achievable one to keep (1) away from anger, (2) away from greediness, and (3) away from lust.

By constantly and consciously put effort to keep away from them could lead to peaceful life.

3. Hidaya of my children and muslim children and to keep us away from evil and bad things of this world.

2.Read Quran daily.Start each day with Surah Yaseen and end each day with last 2 verses of Al Baqarah as recommended by the Holy Prohet S.A.W.

Submitted by Umm FATIMAH:

1- Every morning after Fajr salat & Every night after Isha salat i recite ZIARAT-E WAARITHA after reciting all the recommended Du'aas....

2- Recitation of H.Quran (at least 1/4 part) besides other imp. Surahs e.g.: Yaa Seen, Jumaa etc. daily.

My intention being that before I hear any human being talking to me i'd like to hear what my Creator says... thus by Reading Quran every morn. (and trying to undersatnd part of the translation) satisfies me and i feel i can face up to any trial or difficulties.

3- Teaching Quran & Arabic is my greatest interest and with the help of Allah s.w.t. I manage to impart this knowledge at home ( I have a small madressah) with the permission of my husband and for the sake of pleasing Allah s.w.t. At the end of the day i feel v. contented and satisfied 'cause i have less time to waste in chatting or useless activities.
